Paint residue

Hi
Can anyone help please?
I am using acrylic paints which are suitable for leather and having problems with the stronger colours such as black, red and blue
I use carrageenan lambda as my floater solution and when I take out my leather from the marbling tray those stronger colours cling to the carrageenan
I am forced to leave the leather until the colours are set as if I rinse straight away some of the colours wash out leaving it very wishy washy
This means that the excess colour which is mixed in the carrageenan is washed off I am left with patches of sludgy colour over my pattern which really spoils everything
I have tried at least 6 different brands of paint and have also tried using the strong colours at the beginning and at the end with improvement
I end up having to do a second marbling to try and cover the mistakes which is not great
Thanks in anticipation
Cheryl
